Empire State Bastard is the extreme alternative rock / grindcore duo of Simon Neil (Biffy Clyro) and Mike Vennart (Oceansize). This has been long in the planning as the duo took time out from their more conventional bands to try to make music as twisted as the stuff they had been sharing. Their debut is a ferocious onslaught of metal riffs and stoner rock and to help with that authentic sound they’ve appointed none other than Dave Lombardo of Slayer, Misfits, Suicidal Tendencies, Fantomas and Testament as sticksman.
